| I've known I wanted to be a writer since I was about five. By the time I was ten I figured, so I want to be an author right? Why wait? I toiled away; writing two books, both of which I threw away after completing them. I guess I was a perfectionist then too. Anyway, when I was eleven, I began planning Alive Without a Trace. The book took most of my middle school years to write and when I was in 7th grade I got a call from Book Surge. After a grueling first time crack at editing, the book finally came into print when I was a freshmen in high school. AWAT is about thirteen girls, all of whom were adopted by Robert Jones. The girls are a group of crime fighters known as the Zodiac Girls. As the story unfolds, the girls must stop local crime as well as snoop around to find out their about their pasts. If I learned anything from writing AWAT, it is this: if you want it; go for it, no matter how old you are. Since then I have published two more books and two short stories. My writing career is only just beginning. I hope to make a name for myself and inspire other young writers in the process. Dare to Dream |
